These terms apply when you join the Weza beta by replying YES on WhatsApp. They add to the Terms of Service and Privacy Notice.
1. The beta
- Who: anyone aged 18 or over who wants to try Weza for their business. You do not need an invitation.
- How long: the beta runs until SIONA Technologies Limited announces otherwise. SIONA may change or end the beta, and will tell you on WhatsApp before it ends.
- Price: free. There is no subscription and nothing converts to a paid plan automatically. Weza does not take any payment from you, including through M-Pesa.
- One WhatsApp number per business: staff accounts are not part of the beta.
2. What you can do in the beta
- Record sales and expenses by sending a text message.
- Ask Weza for a summary of your week.
You can also try these experimental features. They may not always work correctly, so check what Weza sends back and tell us about problems:
- recording by voice note or receipt photo;
- confirming, correcting or undoing entries;
- signing in to the Weza website with your WhatsApp number to see your records.
M-Pesa payments, automatic reminders and paid plans are not part of the beta. Weza's question-answering assistant (Ask) is an optional beta feature described in section 2A.
2A. Ask Weza (optional beta feature)
- What it is: on the Weza website, you can type questions about your business's saved records, in English or Kiswahili, such as "What were my sales this month?". Ask uses only your business's saved records. It cannot change records, send messages or see other businesses.
- Who can use it: the owner of a business that has joined the beta (replied YES on WhatsApp) and is signed in to the Weza website. Ask is off until you turn it on in the website and accept these terms. If you send STOP PILOT, Ask stops too.
- Turning it off: you can turn Ask off at any time on the Ask page, or by emailing support@sionaglobal.com. Turning Ask off does not delete your records or your saved questions; to delete those, follow the Data Requests procedure.
- Check the answers: answers are written by AI from your saved records. Amounts and counts are taken from your records, not worked out by the AI, but the explanation can still be wrong or incomplete, and anything you have not saved is not included. Check important figures in Reports before relying on them. Recorded sales minus expenses is not your cash or bank balance.
- Not advice: Ask is not tax, accounting, financial or legal advice.
- Fair use and limits: each business has a daily limit on questions. Ask may also be paused for everyone when an overall daily or monthly limit is reached, or at any time while the beta runs. Weza tells you when this happens; your saved conversations stay available.
- Your data: section 4 of the Privacy Notice explains what Ask sends to our AI provider and how long questions and answers are kept.
3. Your consent
Before Weza records anything for your business, it sends you this notice on WhatsApp:
Weza beta by SIONA Technologies Limited (notice beta-notice-v3-20261020). Weza is a free beta bookkeeping aid that anyone can try. It is not tax, accounting or eTIMS advice, and VAT figures are estimates. If you join, Weza stores your WhatsApp number and the sales, expenses, voice notes and receipt photos you send, using Meta, Cloudflare, Neon and OpenAI, some outside Kenya. Terms and privacy: weza.sionaglobal.com/pilot-terms. Help: support@sionaglobal.com. Reply STOP PILOT anytime to pause recording; your history is kept. Reply YES to join. Nothing is recorded until you do.
Weza records the version of the notice you saw, your WhatsApp identity and the time you replied YES. Joining is optional. Setting up your business in Weza is not consent; only a YES reply to this notice is. If you already used Weza before the beta, you will see this notice once and need to reply YES to keep recording.
4. Pausing, resuming and leaving
- Send STOP PILOT at any time. Weza confirms only after the pause is saved, and stops recording new sales and expenses. Your existing records are kept.
- While paused you can still ask for help or make privacy requests.
- Send RESUME PILOT to come back. Weza shows you the current notice again and you must reply YES before recording restarts.
- To have your records deleted, follow the Data Requests procedure. Pausing is not deletion.
5. If the notice changes
If we change these terms or the privacy notice in a way that matters, Weza gives the notice a new version. Recording stays off until you reply YES to the new version.
6. What we ask of you
- Keep your usual daily records while Weza is in beta.
- Check each confirmation Weza sends and reply to fix anything wrong.
- Tell us about mistakes or anything confusing. Your feedback helps us improve Weza.
- Do not send information Weza does not need, such as ID numbers, PINs or passwords.
- Only use Weza with your own business information. If you are trying it at a demo or event, use made-up example amounts, not someone else's records.
7. Support
Beta support: email support@sionaglobal.com. The Weza WhatsApp number is automated; a person answers support email. If something goes wrong, we may pause the beta for everyone while we fix it, and we will tell you what happened.
8. When the beta ends
Before the beta ends we will tell you what happens next. You can keep using Weza if it remains available, ask for a copy of your records, or ask us to delete them. If you do not tell us, we keep your records for 90 days after the beta ends, and then a member of our team deletes them.
