What is Weza?

Weza is a business assistant from SIONA Technologies. It helps businesses record and understand their activity through natural conversation on WhatsApp.

How do I start using Weza?

Tap Chat with Weza or scan the QR code on a larger screen. Open the WhatsApp chat, send a message, and tell Weza what happened — a sale, an expense, a voice note, or a receipt.

Do I need another app?

No. Weza works in WhatsApp. You do not need to install a separate Weza app to get started.

Can I use voice notes?

Yes. Send a voice note in the same chat. Weza transcribes it and can capture the business activity you described.

Can I send receipts?

Yes. Photograph a receipt and send the image in WhatsApp. Weza processes it into a business record.

Can I correct a transaction?

Yes. Say what should change — for example, “Actually make that 1,700.” If it is unclear which record you mean, Weza will ask before updating.

Does Weza understand Kiswahili?

Yes. Weza understands English, Kiswahili, and mixed English/Kiswahili in the same conversation.

Does Weza replace my accountant?

No. Weza helps you organise and understand business records. It does not replace professional accounting, tax, legal or financial advice.

Are Weza plans available yet?

Not yet. Weza Lite, Weza Business, and Weza Pro are coming soon. You can start by chatting with Weza on WhatsApp today while plans are being finalised.

Will I be able to pay with M-Pesa?

M-Pesa activation is planned for when paid plans launch. It is not live yet. Until then, start by chatting with Weza on WhatsApp.

What happens if my subscription expires?

Weza is being designed so a lapsed subscription does not immediately erase your business history. Final access and retention rules will be documented before paid plans launch.

What happens to my data?

Business records are scoped to the relevant business. Receipts and voice notes are stored on private infrastructure. You can request deletion of your information.
